Support parents in developing the skills and knowledge needed to reunify with their children following removal and ensure long-term success at parenting.
Experience working with children and a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with reliable transportation, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
Provide intensive community-based services to DCYF-involved youth and families in the home, school, and natural environment. Services provided by a Family Connections Specialist may include, but are not limited to, functional support, skill building, therapeutic processing, coordination of care, access to appointments, coordination of education, vocation, and recreation, compliance with court orders, and crisis prevention and intervention.
Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field required, along with reliable transportation, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
Provide individual and family therapy and supportive counseling to families navigating DCYF involvement. Clients may include parents working toward reunification, foster and adoptive families, and adolescents in the juvenile justice system.
Masters Degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field required. License eligiblity preferred. Supervision hours provided. Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and auto insurance required.
